Consecutive interpreting involves rendering the spoken word into another language after the speaker has finished.
Using a precise note-taking technique, the interpreter records longer sections of the speaker’s address and renders it in the target language in full once the speaker has finished.
Consecutive interpreting takes longer and is used for shorter events, such as dinner-table speeches.
